About the Chair

Skip Triplett

Skip Triplett is a partner in the governance consulting firm “Triplett & Triplett.” His areas of speciality are strategic board governance, strategic planning and leadership. He current sits as a regional director for the Canadian Forces Liaison Council and is a board director at the Credit Counselling Society.

Triplett served as the President of Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and held executive, marketing and management education positions with the B.C. Telephone Company (now Telus), Xerox of Canada, Ltd., and the Steel Company of Canada. He is a former Captain in Canada’s Regular Army. He has an extensive background as a board member with numerous leading organizations.

He has served on the boards of Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the International Association of New Generation Universities, the Trades Training Consortium of BC, the BC Post Secondary Employers Association, the Surrey Board of Trade, the White Rock Hospice Society, S.U.C.C.E.S.S., DiverCity, the White Rock Millennium Rotary Club and the South Coast BC Transportation Authority (TransLink).

Triplett is also a former member of the City of Richmond’s Economic Development Committee and of the Regional Advisory Committee to the Tsawwassen First Nation treaty negotiations. Triplett has a B.A. from Concordia University, a M.B.A. from Simon Fraser University, and a LL.D. from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
